A virtual private network, or VPN, shields your web traffic from the prying eyes of your ISP, making it harder for spies and advertisers to track you online. Hotspot Shield VPN has a handsome app and an array of security services that go far beyond VPN protection. It also boasts an impressive collection of servers around the globe, giving you many options for spoofing your location. The core VPN product is expensive, however, and its privacy policies are transparent but hurt by a few tradeoffs. While other VPNs have worked to make clear and concise arguments about how they protect their customers, Hotspot Shield continues to be a complicated story.

With a paid Hotspot Shield VPN subscription, you get free subscriptions for 1Password password manager, Robo Shield call blocker, and Identity Guard identity theft protection service. Recently, Hotspot Shield's parent company also launched an antivirus product(Opens in a new window) as an optional add-on purchase for $5.99 per month or $39.99 per year.

There's an A14 chip inside the iPhone 12 models, and it was the first chip in the smartphone industry built on a 5-nanometer process for performance and efficiency improvements. Apple said at launch that the 6-core CPU and 4-core GPU in the A14 were 50 percent faster than the fastest competing smartphone chips, although the A15 chip in the latest iPhone 13 models has pushed things even further. The A14 chip also includes a 16-core Neural Engine that offers an 80 percent increase in performance for machine learning tasks compared to the previous A13 chip.

Unlike the iPhone 13 family which offers both regular and Pro models, the iPhone 12 and 12 mini are no longer have a corresponding set of Pro models, with those having been discontinued in September 2021 with the launch of the iPhone 13 lineup. The regular iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models are similar to the Pro models in most respects, but the camera is a major differentiating factor. While the Pro models include a triple-lens camera setup with a LiDAR Scanner and other bells and whistles, the iPhone 12 and 12 mini have a simpler and less advanced dual-lens camera setup.

In August 2021, Apple launched a new service program for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models to address an issue that can cause some devices to experience sound issues. According to Apple, a "very small percentage" of iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models may experience sound problems because of a component that can fail on the receiver module. Affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.

When using Dual SIM mode on the iPhone 12 models, 5G connectivity was not available at launch with speeds limited to LTE, but that changed with an iOS update. Apple enabled Dual SIM 5G support through the iOS 14.5 software update that was released in the spring of 2021.

In July of 2021, Apple launched the MagSafe Battery Pack for $99, designed to work with the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, and is also compatible with the full iPhone 13 lineup. The MagSafe Battery Pack is available in white only and attaches magnetically to the back of one of the iPhone models, with the magnets keeping it aligned to your iPhone.

In recent weeks and months, users have reported a host of other problems with YouTube TV, but the good news (especially since we really like this service) is that most of them are not insurmountable. In fact, what we've found is that many of the initial problems were caused by YouTube TV itself not working during the initial launch. Recently, the problems are due to compatibility.

One of the best antivirus (opens in new tab) providers Bitdefender has launched a standalone VPN product. Bitdefender VPN used to come bundled with the antivirus package, but now it's available on its own, and for a very reasonable price.

If you tried all of the options and still have the same problem, go to network and sharing center in the control panel and click on change adapter setting. There is a list with many installed drivers and protocols. Look for "hotspot shield routing driver 6" or something along those lines. Then click uninstall. Check if you can access any websites now.

For me, the settings for proxies were fine(Automatic). When I checked the network settings, it had the Hotspot 'special' Protocol enabled.(That means, hotspot works overriding our own Internet Protocols IPv4 or IPv6) I uninstalled it, internet came back running to me like a 'dog waiting for it's master' ;)Guys, try it out once and let me know if it works.
